Challenge

A brand without a community

Mucho Gusto came in with a product full of flavor and a story of its own, but without a digital presence. How do you build a brand in a genuine way when it has no community, no voice, and no place in the conversations that matter?

Insight

Culture is the strategy

Through social listening and research, we identified that Latino audiences in the United States (specifically the Salvadoran, Honduran, and Guatemalan communities) connect with one emotion in particular: nostalgia.

Nostalgia for things that are harder to find in the U.S., such as family roots, cultural traditions, and recipes that represent more than just food. These were not only cooking moments. They were ways for consumers to feel part of something bigger, to feel seen, and to feel like they were in on the same cultural references.

The first platform tests confirmed it: emotional connection outperforms brand messaging, every time.

Idea

Building a community means building relevance

We redefined Mucho Gusto’s social presence around what its community already recognized, shared, and celebrated. We created content designed to live naturally in our audience’s feeds: quick recipes, nostalgic nods, family moments, and formats that felt like part of a larger conversation.

TikTok became the discovery channel, while Instagram and Facebook became community spaces driven by relatable, easy-to-share content.

Mucho Gusto stopped feeling like just another product on social media and started behaving like a brand with its own place in the everyday culture of Latinos in the United States.
